PETER DEVANEY FLANAGAN
Feature Film / Television Editor
“It is all about telling the story.”
That sums up Peter Devaney Flanagan's philosophy about Editing. “Editing is basically a continuation of story telling. Where the writer uses the written word to tell his story, the Editor should use all the tools at his disposal, (i.e., the visual image, visual effects, sound, music, etc.), to enhance and improve that story."
Peter's first foray into Post Production was on the Randy Miller directed short film, "Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing and Charm School". After working as an Assistant Editor on Wes Craven's "Vampire In Brooklyn" & Ben Stiller's "The Cable Guy", Peter made his jump up to Editor working with Guillermo del Toro on "Mimic".
For his work on the Guillermo del Toro produced "Under A Spell", Peter was nominated for best Editing by the Mexican Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Science.
Peter‘s strength has always been his ability to overcome any challenge presented to him and to exceed the expectations of the original material whether it be comedy, action, drama, horror and or television.
